Suzie Comstock, Guidance Counselor

Welcome to Mrs. Comstock's Homepage!

I love helping young people learn, and I care very much about our boys and girls. I believe that getting off to a good start is extremely important, and the early years must give children a firm foundation so that they will be successful in later years. While the 3 R's (Reading, 'riting, and 'rithmetic) are crucial, I also believe that we must seek to educate each child as a total person. To learn about getting along with others, becoming safety smart, developing positive attitudes and habits, and acquiring skills to achieve are some of the reasons why I saw a need for becoming a School Counselor. It is my goal for each Marshall Elementary student to have as happy and productive a year as possible.

I am in my 22nd year serving as Elementary School counselor at M.E.S. Before becoming a counselor, I had 6 years teaching experience, teaching Kindergarten, First Grade, and Third Grade. My undergraduate degree was in Early Childhood Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. My graduate degree is in Elementary Guidance and Counseling from MTSU. Several years ago I went through the Tennessee Career Ladder evaluation and received the Level III status.

If you wish to contact me, you may call M.E.S. at 931-359-7149. I am always happy to meet with parents and see how we can partner to make things better for our students.
